- Peter H. Juviler, Professor Emeritus of political science. A member of Barnard’s faculty since 1964, Prof. Juviler was dedicated to the study of religion, law, and tolerance education, and understanding how they informed human rights theory and practice.
- Professor Sally Chapman, a beloved member of our chemistry faculty for 37 years. Over the course of her distinguished career, Prof. Chapman was a mentor to countless Barnard students and a champion for women in science everywhere.
Alan F. Segal 2011
- Alan F. Segal, Professor Emeritus of Religion and Ingeborg Rennert Professor Emeritus of Judaic Studies was a devoted member of the Barnard faculty. At the College, Professor Segal’s courses included “Introduction to Judaism,” “Introduction to the Hebrew Bible,” “Judaism in the Time of Jesus,” “Life After Death,” and “Literary Approaches to the Bible.”
